Introducing CEC-Enabler, the solution to your MiSTer platform problem! With CEC-Enabler, you can finally connect your MiSTer to your TV without sacrificing the functionality of your TV. Say goodbye to frustrating CEC issues and hello to seamless compatibility.
This device is able to not only prevent this defect from affecting your TV but is also capable of adding CEC Remote control of the MiSTer menu system from your TV Remote.
We have a short guide on how to install and use the CEC-Enabler along with troubleshooting Samsung devices https://youtu.be/hhjoGSw2FXo
LED Codes:
Blue Flashing 2Hz: Operational and waiting CEC Connection
Green Flashing 2Hz: CEC Connected and ready to receive control input
Green Flickering: CEC Remote command received
Red Solid: Stack Overflow Error, reboot device to recover.
Not all TVs and TV Remotes have enough buttons for full functionality, to increase compatibility we have created the following control scheme:
D-Pad controls arrow keys
Select sends Enter Key
Back sends F12
Menu sends F12
Rewind sends F12
Fast Forward sends F12
We also have a firmware release that support remotes with additional buttons changing the above to:
Back sends TAB
This allows for more natural navigation of the MiSTer menu

1x USB-A to USB-C (2.0) cable

Hold the button down on the adapter when you connect it to the USB cable, it will show up as a USB storage device. Unzip the firmware file, and copy it to the USB storage, it will reboot automatically and be ready to use.
Troubleshooting:
If your remote is not controlling the device you may need to unplug the USB cable for the CEC_Enabler and plug it back in, occasionally it will hang during the handshake with the TV, especially with Samsung TVs.
If its still not controlling the MiSTer you may need to power cycle the TV, sometimes the TV will not complete the handshake with the adapter. (Mostly an issue with Samsung TVs) Once synced it should not need any further interaction (Unless its a Samsung, it might need both of these steps to be done again)
